In this interview, we hear from Hawaii CIO Christine Sakuda.
1. How have recent changes to federal policy impacted your IT priorities?
Changes at the federal level, including reduced federal funding, have reinforced the need for us to be very deliberate about where we invest our technology resources. Our priorities remain focused on resilient and reliable government services, cybersecurity and modernization, while also looking for opportunities to reduce long-term costs and make better use of shared infrastructure and enterprise solutions.
For Hawai‘i, that means building technology capabilities that are sustainable over time and strengthening coordination across departments so we can continue moving modernization forward even in a constrained fiscal environment.
