Hawai‘i Energy Awards More Than $1M in Grants to Local Nonprofits, Small Businesses

Hawaii Energy has awarded over $1 million in funding to 331 nonprofits and small businesses on Oahu, Maui and Hawaii Island through its Energy Relief Grant program, the energy equipment and solutions organization announced Monday.

Energy Relief Grants were awarded in two rounds, and each recipient was awarded up to $25,000. Businesses can use the funding to cover eligible energy efficiency projects including, but not limited to, upgrades to inefficient air conditioning units, lighting retrofits, commercial kitchen equipment and solar water heaters.
