Hawai‘i Gas is the state’s largest propane distribution business and provides products and services around Hawai‘i, particularly in times of natural disasters.

“If there happens to be a power outage, gas energy stays on to provide energy to essential services like hospitals and emergency management services,” said Hawai‘i Gas President and CEO Alicia Moy, who has been in her position since 2013.

“This is one of the main reasons gas is consistently the preferred choice for many local businesses across the state for cooking, manufacturing, heating, drying or other energy intensive industries. This is a service Hawai‘i Gas offers that people don’t necessarily think about until there is a crisis.”
