As chief operating officer of The Queen’s Medical Center–Kahi Mohala, Sondra Leiggi Brandon leads one of Hawaii’s largest behavioral health systems while adapting to the shifting demands of healthcare. She also is the vice president of Behavioral Health and Medicine at The Queen’s Health Systems. She began her career as a registered nurse, obtained multiple masters degrees and climbed the ranks to build a reputation for collaborative leadership. Earlier in her career, she worked alongside the Honolulu Police Department to provide medical care in cellblocks, connecting vulnerable people to treatment and support. Today, she remains focused on her “North Star” of serving patients, employees and the community while helping shape Hawaii’s future healthcare workforce.
