Lance Parker, president and chief operating officer of Alexander & Baldwin, has been named CEO of the commercial real estate company effective July 1, it was announced Wednesday.

He will succeed CEO Christopher Benjamin, who will retire June 30 but serve as a consultant through the end of 2023, "to ensure a smooth transition and complete various aspects of A&B's simplification strategy," an announcement from the company noted.
