As the vice president of farm development at Pono Pacific Land Management LLC, a local natural resource management company, Chris Lee's primary job is to connect farmers with the resources needed to strengthen and grow Hawaii's agricultural economy.

He says that although the job has always required working with other local ag organizations like Pono Pacific's connected nonprofit Kupu, and GoFarm Hawaii, collaboration in the industry as a whole has ramped up due to the pandemic's affect on Isle farmers and ranchers. A product of that increase in need for collaboration among Hawaii's agricultural stakeholders, was the creation of AgHui, an agriculture response and recovery working group.
