Making an Impact

This initiative engages and guides Hawai‘i public school seniors whose final year of high school was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It engages and guides seniors in transitioning to their post-high school plans and connects them to postsecondary education, training, and for eligible students, the opportunity to take free UHCC career exploration classes.

The University of Hawaiʻi offered free job training for Oʻahu residents. Eight UH campuses offered nearly 100 different training opportunities from October - December 2020.

ʻOhana Workplace Alliance is a hui of business and nonprofit leaders in Hawaiʻi that asks, “How might we co-create and celebrate ‘ohana-centered businesses that support their employees’ child and family care, mental health, and safety needs?”

Oneoahu.org provides the residents of O‘ahu with official information about the City and County of Honolulu's response to COVID-19. This site is updated daily with answers to frequently asked questions about Orders and links to trusted sources of COVID-19 related information.

One Shared Future launched a new series that addresses local professionals’ expressed needs during the global pandemic, providing participants with experiences and skills to thrive during uncertain times.
