Making an Impact

In the Island Leadership Lab pilot, University of Hawai‘i William S. Richardson School of Law Dean Camille Nelson will be joined by Omidyar Fellows and several “Leaders in Residence” for an immersive leadership experience grounded in a curriculum specifically developed to prepare next-generation leaders for success.

This initiative utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach by working on immediate acquisition and distribution of hardware directly to keiki, kūpuna, and communities in need, as well as partnering in a statewide network to provide broadband access to unserved communities.

The Safe Spaces & Workplaces Initiative (SSWP) is a Child & Family Service (CFS) and One Shared Future (OSF) partnership to address workplace sexual harassment in Hawaiʻi.

This campaign is reaching out to the 250,000 Hawai‘i residents who previously attended a University of Hawai‘i campus but did not earn a credential and encourages them to return and complete their degree.

The program connects kūpuna with sponsors in our community who are free of COVID-19 symptoms. Sponsors help deliver groceries, medication, and supplies to our kūpuna so they can stay home until the outbreak passes.
