Honolulu-based DTL – pronounced detail – is a Hawaiian strategy studio, “born out of the mission to increase meaningful cultural inclusion in projects and amplify community voice,” said Founding Principal and President of DTL Hawaii Mālia Ka‘aihue. “So culture and community are kind of the pillars of everything that we do.”
Tied for second place on PBN’s list of Native Hawaiian-owned businesses in 2021, ranked by the number of employees, DTL offers a variety of design, branding, communications and planning services. They’re “problem solvers with a bias of community and culture,” Ka‘aihue said.
