Food Drive Day Raises Donations to Provide Over 625K Meals to Families in Need

Thousands turned out Saturday for the Hawai‘i Foodbank’s Food Drive Day.

The Aug. 2 drive is the nonprofit’s largest annual fundraising event, collecting both monetary and food donations on O‘ahu and Maui.

The foodbank says a donation of just $10 can help provide food for over 20 meals and a donation of $25 will provide over 100 meals.

“Every dollar counts. One of the nice things about Hawai‘i Foodbank is that we can really stretch that dollar, so every dollar donated allows us to provide food for more than two meals,” said Amy Miller, CEO of Hawai‘i Foodbank.
