Former Hawai‘i Tourism Authority executive Kalani Kaʻanāʻanā was named the new CEO of Hawai‘i Green Growth, a statewide public-private partnership focused on economic, social and environmental initiatives, the organization said Tuesday.
He will step into the role on July 7, succeeding Celeste Connors, who recently was named the next president of the East-West Center.
Kaʻanāʻanā has 15 years of experience in the government, nonprofit and private sectors. He had been with HTA since 2016, serving in a variety of roles including chief brand officer and director of Hawaiian Cultural Affairs and Natural Resources. Most recently, he served as chief stewardship officer.
