Although there have been several businesses shutting down recently, it turns out local restaurants and businesses are doing better overall.

Chamber of Commerce President Sherry Menor-Mcnamara says she is seeing progress in our local and state economy.

The decrease of COVID-19 cases in the islands play a large role in that.

Residents are starting to feel more comfortable eating out and shopping. Menor-Mcnamara said the progress is slow but it is there and growing.
