Hawai‘i Community College Receives Anonymous $1M Donation

Hawai‘i Community College recently received an anonymous $1 million donation that will allow the school to bolster its scholarship and professional development opportunities for students, University of Hawai‘i officials announced on Monday.

About $920,000 of the gift will fund the A Hua Maila Endowed Scholarship, which supports full-time and part-time students in any area of study. The remaining $80,000 will go toward the E Huaka‘i Professional Development Endowment, which supports professional development for Hawai‘i Community college faculty, staff and student leaders.
