HPM Building Supply is moving beyond its roots as a source for mid-market homebuilders and homeowners in Hawai‘i to expand into the ultra-luxury residential and commercial space, including luxury condominium projects on O‘ahu.
The Hilo-based company began laying the groundwork for this expansion two years ago with its acquisition of interior design firm 87Zero, which had two showrooms at the Na Lama Kukui Lifestyle and Design Center in Honolulu.
HPM recently rebranded the showrooms under the name HPM Design Center, and added a third showroom at the same location. The company hired about 20 people from 87Zero and recently added a handful more employees.
