ʻOhana Workplace Alliance (OWA) is a hui of business and nonprofit leaders in Hawaiʻi, led by Omidyar Fellows Jan Boivin, Amy Miller, Kapā Oliveira, Emily Porter, Stephanie Shipton, Ann Teranishi, Ben Treviño, Kerrie Urosevich, and Rachael Wong.
We believe families are at the heart of our workplaces. OWA’s mission is to sustain and strengthen employers that embrace ‘ohana-friendly practices so that families, workplaces, and economies can all thrive.

OWA’s work is to co-create and celebrate ‘ohana-centered businesses that support their employees’ child and family care, mental health, and safety needs. OWA is currently creating a playbook that will help guide organizations’ culture and policy to be more supportive of family-related issues, such as family leave, childcare, pay parity, and family violence. We believe there is no hana without ‘ohana.
Visit ohanaworkplacealliance.org to explore resources and join the movement to stay informed about the playbook and an upcoming OWA business panel discussion this fall.
