Climate Hawaiʻi convenings seek to close the gap between concern and coordinated action on climate by tackling the “how”—how to navigate trade-offs, build consensus, and unlock solutions to our most pressing climate challenges, from Hawaiʻi’s clean energy transition to building our climate resilience.
We believe Hawai‘i’s climate leadership will not be defined solely by bold targets, but by our ability to bring people together to develop a shared understanding of the challenges and solutions, multi-solve, and articulate a clear path for our shared future. We seek to move forward by design, not by default.
Recent climate disruptions and funding (e.g., loss of federal infrastructure and clean energy funds) as well as recent opportunities (the recent Navahine youth climate lawsuit settlement and Green Fee funding) create a time-sensitive moment for catalytic coordination.
