The SeaSick program from WAI: Wastewater Alternatives and Innovations aims to emphasize the public health impacts of sewage pollution reaching Hawaiʻi’s streams and coastal waters by providing a reporting tool for community members to submit reports of illnesses and infections related to water recreation.

Survey results will be used to create an interactive map highlighting hotspots of suspected waterborne illness and infections throughout the state. Community members have already begun submitting reports.
