Much has changed within the Kaka‘ako landscape over the last decade as the Ward Village redevelopment has taken shape, rising amid the Honolulu skyline.
Former industrial warehouses have given way to high-rises, retail and dining experiences in a new urban landscape where people live, work and recreate — and more change is on the horizon.
The Howard Hughes Corp.’s master-planned community is located on 60 acres between Downtown Honolulu and Waikīkī, and at full-build out will include thousands of new homes within 10 mixed-use towers and have approximately 1 million square feet of retail space.
At the helm in the Islands is Doug Johnstone, president, Hawai‘i, at the Howard Hughes Corp.
