The Queen’s Health Systems has named Sondra Leiggi Brandon chief operating officer of The Queen’s Medical Center – Kahi Mohala, the Hawai‘i health system’s behavioral health hospital for children and adolescents.
Leiggi Brandon has been with Queen’s since 2016, when she joined the organization as a psychiatric advanced practice registered nurse and nurse manager of telemetry at The Queen’s Medical Center – West O‘ahu. She went on to serve as the director of behavioral health for The Queen’s Medical Center. As she steps into her new role, she also will continue to serve as vice president of the behavioral health and medicine clinical programs for Queen’s.
Leiggi Brandon, who was a 2019 Omidyar Fellow, was recently chosen as an American Academy of Nursing Fellow, which Queen’s officials said is “one of the highest honors a nurse can receive.”
