Retailers showcasing locally made products gathered in Honolulu this morning for Manufacturing Day at the Capitol.
The event ran from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 21 and was hosted by the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, as well as State Senator Lynn DeCoite and State Representative Daniel Holt.
"We launched a Manufacturing in Hawaii initiative several years ago with a goal of supporting our local industry and making products in Hawaii for Hawaii, as well as to promote the Hawaii brand and export internationally," said Sherry Menor-McNamara, president and CEO of Chamber of Commerce Hawaii.
