From Hawai‘i News Now:
Josh Wisch with the Holomua Collective shared the results of their latest affordability survey, which found an alarming increase in Hawai‘i residents who are struggling to stay in the place they call home, even those earning middle to upper-middle incomes.
As economic pressures mount, a staggering 75% of respondents say they will – or are unsure if they will – relocate in the coming years, an increase from 70% of respondents in 2024.
“When you take a look at these folks who are saying that they might have to leave and they have enough money to leave, then a few things happen,” Wisch said.
