Cameron Nekota, executive vice president of First Hawaiian Bank, oversees bank properties and government affairs, and serves as president of the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation. He also serves on several boards including those of James Campbell Co., Queen’s Health Systems, Wai‘anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center and St. Andrews Schools.
The insight he’s gained through board service has benefitted the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation in terms of “implementing best practices or adjusting our strategy based on challenges others have overcome,” he said.
There is also a partnership between First Hawaiian Bank and the boards Nekota serves on, which has resulted in donations to The Queen’s Health System for its Infectious Disease Unit and Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center’s Dental Clinic, according to Nekota.
