University of Hawai‘i Receives $16 Million Workforce Development Grant

The University of Hawai‘i received a grant of $16.4 million from the American Rescue Plan as a part of the Good Jobs Challenge, which enables investments in workforce development, according to the U.S. Economic Development Administration, or EDA.

The funding will go to programs in the areas of clean energy, creative industries, healthcare and technology, the University of Hawai‘i's Vice President for Community Colleges Erika Lacro told Pacific Business News in a phone interview.
