Kaukau 4 Keiki is a summer-long meal program that ensures children continue to have consistent access to nutritious food when school is out of session.
“We are seeing the need clearly,” said Janice Ikeda, CEO of Vibrant Hawaiʻi. “Nine thousand five hundred applications tell us that families are counting on this program. To meet that need, we need more sites—and we need leaders in every community who are willing to step forward.”
Distribution sites in need of partners include Hāmākua, Honokaʻa, Kailua-Kona, Keaʻau, North Hilo, North Kohala, Nā‘ālehu, Ocean View, Pāhala, Puna Makai, Puna Mauka, South Hilo, South Kona, Waimea, Waikoloa, and Volcano.
